Invenia Group is seeking a dedicated and flexible Field Service Engineer for an exciting new role, where you will cover the Benelux and Denmark region, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Denmark.
This field-based role offers the opportunity to provide first-class technical support to a growing customer base in the biomedical research sector. Reporting to the International Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, and servicing of advanced bio-measurement instruments.
Occasional travel to other territories to assist the team is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, qualification (IQOQPQ), and maintenance of instruments at client sites.
- Conduct service, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment in the field.
- Assess maintenance needs and implement action plans for instrument service.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date service logs.
Responsibilities may vary according to departmental needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though relevant experience may be substituted.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a field service role.
- A background in life science or drug discovery is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ISO Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Hands-on experience with basic hand tools and inspection equipment is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, with an understanding of mechanical dynamics.
- Logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and execute tasks in a structured manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to convey issues and results that impact schedules, accuracy, and quality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
This role offers significant travel opportunities (40-50%) and requires a high level of independence and adaptability to meet the technical demands of customers in the region.
