Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will spearhead the strategic design and management of the company’s software solutions with a primary focus on oncology applications. Key duties include:

  • Crafting a clear product vision and strategy.
  • Developing comprehensive roadmaps informed by market trends, clinical needs, and innovations in molecular diagnostics.
  • Partnering with clinical experts to ensure products align with laboratory workflows and clinical expectations.
  • Leading the creation of cutting-edge features for variant classification, interpretation, and reporting within oncology.
  • Managing the integration of clinical databases, annotation tools, and updated guidelines.
  • Collaborating with bioinformatics teams to prioritize product features and oversee development.
  • Incorporating machine learning and AI into variant interpretation capabilities.
  • Acting as a product ambassador and technical expert during customer engagements.
  • Engaging with molecular pathology labs and cancer centres to understand workflow requirements.
  • Assisting marketing teams with effective messaging for clinical genomics audiences.
  • Providing technical expertise to support the sales team in client discussions.
  • Driving innovation in NGS analysis tools and clinical interpretation techniques.
  • Ensuring alignment with clinical guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
  • Overseeing seamless integration with laboratory information and electronic health record systems.
  • Establishing quality metrics and validation processes for product development.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree (PhD preferred) in bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, or a related discipline, along with 7+ years of experience in clinical genomics or molecular diagnostics, particularly in NGS-based applications. Additional requirements include:

  • A minimum of 5 years in product management roles, specifically for clinical software or diagnostics.
  • Expertise in clinical variant interpretation and reporting workflows.
  • Familiarity with clinical laboratory processes and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • A strong foundation in cancer genomics and molecular oncology.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to connect with clinical stakeholders.
