Hi Revna, please introduce yourself.

My name is Revna. I’m a Senior Principal Consultant here at Invenia Group. I’ve been working here for more than 9 years. I did celebrate my ninth year this year in April, and I would say here’s to 10 years at Invenia Group!

What are your day-to-day tasks?

We are multi-tasking quite a lot. I’m one of the 360 consultants, so I deal with identifying new business opportunities as well as speaking to candidates and placing them at the right companies, which is a fun part of the job.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?

I ask myself that question quite a lot of times – what really brings me joy. I think it’s that particular moment where you are finding the suitable candidate, you’re your client and everyone’s happy, happy times! I think another exciting thing about our job as well, is that we just get to travel to new places and get to meet with our clients and our candidates, and we can also enjoy it whilst we’re there. If you get to travel quite a lot for your work, you don’t really feel like you’re working, I will say.

What are your professional goals?

I would say that my values have aligned well with the values of the organization over the last year, and I see myself contributing, possibly more on a strategic level with the company growth as well. And then possibly also managing the junior consultants to make them grow as well.

What drew you to the life science industry?

I kind of fell into it, I wasn’t looking for a particular industry to work in. But I would say I’m super glad that I’m working within the life science industry, working with organizations that manufacture the products that really help the patient behind it as well. So even having a small finger in making things better for people – that is quite rewarding as well.

What do you use the company’s flexible working policy for?

Well, I’m quite lucky that I’m working remotely from the sunny Antalya, Türkiye. But I am quite lucky that I can use that flexible working environment for a swim in the morning or go for a walk in the forest after work, so that’s cool.

Describe yourself in one word.

Resilient, definitely.

What would a book about your life be called?

It will be called ‘Resilient’ because for me, it’s always been about just going through difficulties and just coming up on it and making sure that you make the best of your life, you only get one.

What’s something people might not know about you?

I used to belly-dance in fancy restaurants in London and dance at events back in London time.

If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

Oh, it would be my dog, Junior. He is just the most spoilt bean in the world.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

I think it is just keeping your head up and just go for it.

What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re proud of?

I think I’m proud that  I’ve been with the company for so many years and have been able to explore different things, whether that be being with my colleagues and really growing my industry knowledge. It’s very cool you get to do quite a lot of things.
